We’re committed to achieving 100% recyclable packaging.
When it came to designing and sourcing our packaging we knew that we wanted it to be simple and elegant.
Just like our jewellery in fact!
However, whether jewellery or postal boxes, gift wrapping or branded stickers, it was also really important that our packaging be 100% recyclable.
So here’s the good news:
We’re delighted to tell you that every item of our packaging which is derived from paper – that’s most of it in fact – is made from wood fibres that can be recycled time and time again.
All the paper used is FSC accredited which guarantees that all materials come from an FSC® forest, where no more wood is cut down than the forest can reproduce. This means better protection of the animal and plant life, and all foresters have proper training, safety equipment and a decent wage.
However the not so good news is that the foam insert isn’t recyclable. But rest assured that finding good recyclable alternatives for foam has our full attention. Our packaging supplier has some possibilities in their development group and we are getting closer and closer to finding a solution produced from the materials leftover from paper production.
So while we’re not at 100% recyclable packaging yet we definitely will be in the very near future.
